Bitget Stocks 2.0: A new phase of tokenized US stocks in the crypto ecosystem
In recent years, the line between the cryptocurrency market and traditional finance has been gradually blurring. If earlier, investing in shares of American companies required opening an account with a brokerage company, passing complex checks and using separate platforms, now these processes are becoming much simpler.
A vivid example of such convergence is the launch of the updated platform for tokenized shares Bitget Stocks 2.0. It provides the opportunity to access popular securities directly through the cryptocurrency exchange, changing the approach to investments and opening up new horizons for users.
Bitget, one of the leading universal crypto exchanges (UEX), officially launched Stocks 2.0, an updated spot trading product for tokenized US stocks, on June 2, 2026. This upgrade, created in collaboration with licensed RWA protocol Reality Protocol, radically changes access to the US stock market for crypto investors. Instead of complicated procedures with foreign brokers, currency conversions and restrictions, there is simple trading via USDT with real Wall Street liquidity.
What are tokenized shares?
Tokenized shares are digital assets that represent the equivalent value of real company shares. They provide investors with the opportunity to receive economic profit from fluctuations in the price of the underlying asset, without the need to purchase shares through a traditional broker.
In practice, trading is carried out using digital tokens that reflect the market value of specific stocks or exchange-traded funds.
This format is gaining popularity among crypto investors who seek to expand their investment portfolio while remaining within the familiar cryptocurrency ecosystem.
What is Bitget Stocks 2.0 and how does it work?
Stocks 2.0 is an innovative spot product based on tokenized stocks (rTokens). Each of these tokens (e.g. rAAPL, rTSLA, rNVDA) provides access to economic exposure to real US stocks or exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The tokens are issued by the Reality Protocol platform, while Bitget acts as a trading environment provider, ensuring the functioning of order books and integration with the exchange ecosystem.
Key features:
- Trading in USDT allows you to avoid the need to open a separate USD account with an overseas broker or convert HKD or RMB into dollars.
- The 1:1 economic peg ensures that the token price is fully aligned with the underlying asset, and all corporate actions such as splits or dividends are processed automatically.
- Real liquidity is guaranteed thanks to connection to Nasdaq and NYSE through licensed brokers, which minimizes slippage and ensures fast order execution in milliseconds.
- On the bitget.com platform, dividends are accrued in USDT - all net cash dividends are automatically converted and credited to the user's account separately from the token value.
- An extended trading schedule is also available, which includes 24/5 support - this covers premarket, regular session, postmarket and overnight, freeing you from being tied to standard US market hours.
Initially, 36 assets are offered, including Apple, Tesla, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Alphabet, as well as ETFs - QQQ and SPY. The range is regularly updated and supplemented.
Main advantages compared to traditional brokers and old tokenized products
Stocks 2.0 solves many of the existing problems: it eliminates the need to open a separate foreign account, reduces foreign exchange (FX) costs for USDT holders, and the tokens can be integrated into a single Bitget trading account. This provides the ability to use them for margin trading, investment strategies, and income products, making US stocks an important component of a holistic crypto portfolio strategy.
